IRS has now extended federal filing deadline from 4/15/2020 to 7/15/2020. The State of Maryland has done the same.

Also, the State of Virginia is extending its deadline to 6/1/2020 and will waive penalty only for late payment
if taxes owed are paid by 6/1/2020.
Notice 3/17/2020
Secretary Mnuchin just announced that the IRS will automatically not charge interest and penalties on federal tax due 4/15/2020 (up to $1M for individuals and up to $10M for corporations). So far, this does not apply to states.
